# CheapFleet privacy notice

Version 1.0 — Effective August 30, 2026

This notice covers the downloadable CheapFleet application and support email
operated by Justin Monroe in South Carolina, United States. A marketplace,
payment provider, Vast.ai, website host, container service, or other third party
has its own privacy practices and notices.

## Local application

CheapFleet is local software. It has no CheapFleet account, vendor cloud service,
advertising, analytics, telemetry, or automatic-update client. It stores the
profile, workload definitions, safety settings, budget and lifecycle records,
approval state, audit activity, and supervised-rental deadlines on the buyer's
computer. The buyer controls that data and its backups.

The Vast API key is read from the operating-system environment and is not written
to the CheapFleet profile, browser, database, audit log, or support bundle.
Workload environment values and commands are excluded from browser status,
diagnostics, and support exports. When the buyer approves a live launch, CheapFleet
sends the selected container image, startup command, workload identifier,
ownership label, and configured workload environment values to Vast.ai so Vast.ai
and the selected host can start the workload. Buyers should provide only values
they are willing and authorized to send to that provider and host. No security
control can guarantee that a buyer's computer, modifications, third-party tools,
provider infrastructure, hosts, or voluntarily shared files remain confidential.

## Network requests

Simulation and local diagnostics make no Vast requests. Explicit market, account,
reconciliation, planning, recovery, launch, and teardown actions contact Vast.ai
as described in the user guide. Authorized deadline teardown may contact Vast.ai
when a supervised rental becomes overdue. Vast.ai receives the buyer's requests
and account credentials, and an approved live launch transmits its workload setup
as described above, under Vast.ai's and the selected host's own terms and privacy
practices.

## Purchases

Authorized marketplaces may collect identity, contact, payment, tax, device,
fraud-prevention, and transaction information as merchant of record or payment
provider. CheapFleet does not receive payment-card details. The marketplace may
provide Licensor with order, purchaser, refund, or license information needed to
deliver the product, confirm eligibility, prevent abuse, and maintain transaction
records. Its privacy notice governs its processing.

## Support email

When a person contacts `cfsupport@cheapfleet.io`, Licensor receives the sender's
email address, message, attachments, and any information voluntarily supplied.
An automated agent may classify, summarize, draft, or answer routine support
messages under seller-defined rules. Support information is used to answer the
request, diagnose defects, prevent abuse, improve documentation, and maintain
reasonable business or legal records.

Do not send API keys, passwords, payment-card data, raw profiles, SQLite databases,
or unredacted logs. If a secret is sent, the sender should revoke or rotate it with
the relevant provider. A sender may request deletion of a support conversation,
subject to records reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, disputes,
transactions, and legal compliance.

## Sharing and retention

Licensor does not sell personal information or use it for behavioral advertising.
Information may be processed by the support mailbox, hosting, marketplace, and
automation providers needed to operate the applicable channel, or disclosed when
reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, rights protection, or a
business transfer. Those providers process information under their own terms or
service arrangements.

Local CheapFleet data remains until the buyer deletes it. Support and transaction
records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above,
subject to provider controls and legal obligations.

## Children, international use, and mandatory rights

CheapFleet is not directed to children under 13. Buyers should not submit another
person's information without authority. Information may be processed in the
United States and in locations used by the selected marketplace and service
providers. Applicable privacy rights and non-waivable protections remain intact.

Questions or requests: `cfsupport@cheapfleet.io`.

The storefront, website host, mailbox provider, and support automation may publish
their own current notices. If CheapFleet later adds analytics, cookies, hosted
accounts, telemetry, or materially different processing, this notice will be
updated before that processing begins.

## Free software trial

The trial stores a one-rental use record locally for the Windows user on the same computer, separately from individual profiles. It survives ordinary reinstalling and is not sent to CheapFleet. No CheapFleet account or automatic software purchase is required.
